Dr. Spears’ Self-Investment

“I always had problems with my teeth.
If I had just done this when I was in my 40’s,
I would have been so much better off.”

Dr. Spears’
Self-Investment

“I always had problems with my teeth.
If I had just done this when I was in
my 40’s, I would have been so much
better off.”

Not everyone is blessed with great genetics. Even though they brushed and flossed religiously growing up, some people lose their teeth simply because they are genetically predisposed.

Dr. Phil Spears is the definition of a good man. He married his high school sweetheart, Betty Lou, and they are still as in love as they were 66 years ago. Dr. Spears spent his entire career in education, teaching and advocating for children as a school principal.

Working in public education is not a glamorous job, nor is it the key to financial riches. People like Dr. Spears dedicate their lives to instilling knowledge in our youth because it is a noble and altruistic calling, not because it is going to bring them fame or fortune.

Despite a lifelong commitment to caring for his teeth, Dr. Spears was simply destined from birth to have trouble with them. Over the course of his life, he spent untold thousands of dollars on bridges and other procedures. Ultimately, though, all the costly Band-Aids failed, and left Dr. Spears with a disaster on the top of his mouth. “My teeth were really bad,” explains Dr. Spears. “I’d spent all this money with nothing to show for it.”

“Everyone was very professional and efficient. They were all so careful and caring during the procedure. The surgeon was outstanding, and all of the assistants knew just what to do whenever it was needed. I would recommend the Marquis Center to anyone who is needing any kind of oral surgery. Thank you for the outstanding service and care.”

Pat’s new confidence

“I took care of everyone else for so long. Now, it was
time to take care of myself.”

Pat’s New
Confidence

“I took care of everyone else for so long. Now, it was time to take care of myself.”

Pat Mendoza is a very intelligent career woman with a vivacious personality. Pat is active in her church and had a successful 20-year career as an interpreter for the deaf before moving into the medical field. She and her late husband David raised two beautiful, well-adjusted daughterswho then turned them into adoring grandparents.

Pat had always been the kind of person who would light up a room just by walking in. But after her teeth started to show visible deterioration, she didn’t project that aura anymore. Her confidence started to wane. She would walk in the room and go hide in a corner.

Pat’s challenges with her teeth were the result of a lifetime of putting the needs of her loved ones before her own. Pat’s mother had a total of 10 children that she had to raise as a single parent. Money was tight. Trips to the dentist were simply not an option. In fact, even having toothpaste in the house was not a guarantee.

While their mother worked, Pat was in charge of raising her four younger siblings. It was a role that required sacrifice. When the family did have toothpaste, Pat made sure it went to her brothers and sisters.

“From start to finish I have never been so impressed by everyone in this office. The professionalism and friendliness is outstanding! I have had years and years of fillings, crowns and root canals. Every dental visit was more of each. Now I have a beautiful smile and never have to deal with any of those issues again. I was treated with great care during my procedures, receiving calls at home to check on me and continued attention to detail through to my last appointment!! I highly recommend this procedure and this fabulous group for any and all of your dental needs!!”

New Smiles, Together
Charlie and Kathy’s Story

New Smiles, Together
Charlie and Kathy’s Story

“With the new teeth, I feel younger…
I don’t look like I’m in my 60’s
anymore.” -Kathy

Kathy Wilkerson was struggling with her self-confidence due to gaps in her smile where teeth had fallen out. “I felt old with my teeth missing,” explains Kathy, who was an administrator in health care before retirement.

Her position required a lot of interaction with patients and doctors every day. When her teeth started to fail her, it affected her job. She could no longer address peoplewith confidence.

Kathy and her husband Charlie also love to travel. But, with the missing teeth, Kathy didn’t want to be seen. She didn’t want to travel. She just wanted to hide.

Like many people, Kathy was a little fearful about going to the dentist. However, after seeing a Facebook advertisement for The Marquis Center, Kathy decided it was time to regain her life.

“We know that a lot of patients have dental phobia,” explains Dr. Andrew Mueller. “We do everything possible to make the environment as welcoming as possible.”

To make the dental implant process calm and relaxing, almost all procedures at The Marquis Center are done under appropriate sedation.

Would’ve given more stars, but only 5 allowed. A huge thanks to the awesome doctors and wonderful staff at the Marquis Center. They are professional, caring, and compassionate throughout every step of the journey. Now I’m pain and worry free with beautiful teeth and a great smile! Don’t hesitate to call them. Highly recommended!!!
